Sunset over Halfway Point from the Ledges

In the early spring, the sun still sets far enough to the North to fall conveniently behind Halfway Point. It rises just to the right of Cave Point in the morning, for those hardy enough to awaken early to see.

But the loons that used to frequent the Ledges have moved on due to human pressure. The first year I was there, I counted at least a dozen pairs of loons. Now, it seems, the humans vastly outnumber the loons.
