| That night, the weather turned. The morning dawned to gray skies and threatening rain. We breakfasted on our staples of oatmeal and coffee, and broke camp. The day's journey led around Grand Portal Point, to Mosquito Beach. After crossing Chapel Beach, the trail led up on to the bluff, looking north over Lake Superior. Gorgeous views opened occasionally through the trees, and gave us glimpses of the mighty glacial forces that sculpted the Pictured Rocks. | ||
