The storms came again in the evening, and the wind whipped up the surf like a freight train. The next morning it was clearing, and the rains had gone. We tried some dried eggs with a bit of dehydrated vegetable thrown in (not too bad) and then hit the trail again.

Following the edge of the beach for a time, the trail struck up a nicely constructed staircase onto the blufftop again. We started seeing more and more wildflowers, ferns and deer tracks. The forest opened up to more views along the way, and we made good progress to the Potato Patch camp area.
