We scampered down the hill from Miners Castle, and followed the Miner River to the beach on Lake Superior. A calm wide creek, the Miner River flows through sand bluffs and forms numerous small pools like this one, before flowing into Lake Superior. A side trail leads back into the woods and Miners Falls, but we did not take the time to explore this route.
